Privacy Policy

Mogean, Inc. ("Mogean", "we", "us") builds location data products: a dataset of United States places, and measurement services for out-of-home advertising.

This policy covers www.mogean.com and Mogean's Exposure Measurement services. It is in three parts: the website,the POI dataset, andlocation data and the Exposure Measurement services. Purchases of the POI dataset happen at store.mogean.com and are governed by theStore privacy policy, which is a separate policy.

Part A. This website

www.mogean.com is an informational site. It sets no advertising cookies, and it collects no device identifiers and no location data.

If you use the contact form or email us, we collect what you send: your name, work email address, company, and the contents of your message. We use it to reply to you, to answer questions about our products, and to keep a record of the exchange. We keep messages for as long as we need them to reply and for our business records.

If we send you marketing email, every message carries a working unsubscribe link, and the opt-out page explains the other routes. Pages on this site link to other companies' websites; what those companies do with information is governed by their own policies, not this one.

Part B. The POI dataset

The POI dataset describes places, not people: names, addresses, coordinates, hours, categories, and operating status of United States places. It carries no device identifiers, no GPS traces, and no individual-level records, and it is built without location signals. Buying it is governed by theStore privacy policy.

Part C. Location data and Exposure Measurement services

This part covers the separate input behind Mogean'sExposure Measurement services. It is a different body of data from the POI dataset, held for a different purpose, and the POI dataset is never built from it.

What data

Mobile advertising identifiers — the resettable identifiers that mobile operating systems make available for advertising — and location signals associated with them: a coordinate, a timestamp, and technical attributes of the observation such as accuracy and the device's operating system.

Where it comes from

Mogean receives these signals under separate agreements covering their source, their permitted uses, and the opt-outs that must be honoured. Mogean does not collect them from this website.

How it is used

For out-of-home advertising clients, and for two jobs. The first is assembling exposed audiences: matching advertising screen interactions against device observations to identify the devices that could see a campaign. The second is foot traffic reports: measuring whether those devices later visited an advertiser's locations, and how much more often than a comparable unexposed group. The POI dataset supplies the context for that second job — which place a visit landed at, and what kind of place it is.

How it is handled

Inside the processing pipeline the signals are hashed. Where an exposed audience is delivered, it is delivered as standard mobile advertising identifiers, to the client who commissioned it, under a separate agreement that governs what the client may do with it. Foot traffic reports are delivered as aggregate results, not as device lists.

How long it is kept

Signals and identifiers are kept for as long as we need them to produce and support the measurement a client has commissioned, and then removed from the working data. A mobile advertising identifier submitted through the opt-out below is kept on the suppression list for as long as the list is used, so that the opt-out keeps being honoured.

Who it is shared with

Clients receive the outputs described above. Service providers — the vendors that host and process the data on our behalf — handle it under contract and for no purpose of their own. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to investigate or prevent illegal activity, fraud, or a threat to someone's safety. If Mogean is acquired or merged, or sells a business unit, information may transfer with it.

Security

We take steps to protect the information we hold from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No set of measures can guarantee security.

Children

This site and these services are not directed to children under thirteen. If we learn that we hold information a child under thirteen gave us, we delete it promptly.

Your choices

Mogean honours opt-outs of mobile advertising identifiers in those services. To opt out, email your mobile advertising identifier toinfo@mogean.com orprivacy@mogean.com. Email is sufficient; no form is required. When a mobile advertising identifier is received, it is added to Mogean's deletion/suppression list and handled through the daily processing pipeline, after which it is excluded from the Exposure Measurement services. Theopt-out page carries the same route.

Your device also offers its own control: both major mobile operating systems let you reset the advertising identifier or turn off personalised advertising in the device settings.

California and other state rights

Residents of California and of other states with similar laws may ask what information we hold about them, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. Use the same route: email info@mogean.com orprivacy@mogean.com. We may need to ask for the identifier the request concerns before we can act on it, and exercising these rights costs you nothing.

Changes to this policy

This policy is current as of the effective date above. We may change it, and the current version always lives at this address. If a change materially affects what we do with information already collected, we will highlight it here.
